^Lot 82 1785 Connecticut Miller 1-E R4 Mailed Bust Right (MBR) VF25

Mostly glossy light olive brown and chocolate. The details are sharper than the assigned grade but fine porosity shows in the fields and protected areas, strongest above the outstretched arm on the reverse. No verdigris or planchet defects, and the only notable marks are a dull, very shallow scratch on the jawline and a small rim bruise at K-11 on the reverse. Early die state, before the small lump under the jaw. Struck slightly off center to K-5 leaving the bust tight to the edge. The date is bold. Weight 157.4 grains. Comes with a very nice provenance.
