^Lot 211 1788 Connecticut Miller 7-E R5 MBL VF20

Rather glossy light olive brown and chocolate. Looks smooth and the eye appeal is quite nice for the grade, but a glass reveals extremely fine roughness on all but the highpoints. No verdigris. The only planchet flaw is a fine fissure through the I in INDE. There are some small contact marks including a half dozen small pricks on the obverse, a rim nick at OR in AUCTORI, and a small dig at the rim over the E in ET. Later die state with minor swelling in the center of the reverse that weakens those details. The date and legends are complete. Weight 123.5 grains.
