^Lot 1553 PAIR OF RARE “NEW CALEDONIA” MADE WW2 FIGHTING

KNIVES WITH SHEATHS. Here is a pair of rarely encountered “New Caledonia” fighting knives, larger grips & blades, but same manufacturing characteristics: 1) 13" overall, 8" blade, 1.1" wide. 2.5" guard hand-engraved “Noumea” and “New Caledonia”. L-shaped stag grip attached with 2 iron pins. Very good overall with accompanying Brown leather sheath. Unattached accessory: hand-drawn card by Roger Ballard 2) 13" overall, 8.25" blade, 1.3" wide, unmarked 2.5" thick brass ovoid cross guard, slightly curved tapered out stag grip fits and nicely.
