Lot 1255 DWM 1914 MILITARY LUGER SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.
Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2928g. Bbl. 4". Mfg. 1916; 140,000 units. Matching numbers on all metal parts; Left grip #52, right #06. Right side of receiver before German proofs has British Crown proof plus additional British proofs on right side of bbl. forward of receiver. Additional British proofs on left side of DWM toggle link. MAGS: fair to good, functional, tin plated 8 rd. w/ unmarked wood base having repaired split behind dimples & extra cross pin at base of front. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ noticeable spot of deep pitting (likely combat related) on receiver above sear plus similar pitting on left lower edge of trigger guard. Spots of lesser pitting on bbl. & top rear of frame (both sides). Light impact marks at bottom right rear of receiver. Light oxidation spots on sideplate. Gray toned safety, trigger & takedown lever w/ traces of straw colors remaining. Correct in the white internal areas w/ very good appearance. Very dark grips w/ hand wear & light marks plus chip by safety of left. Near excellent bore & breech block face indicating very minimal use. Light marks around takedown lever & on sideplate.
