COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, 1714/3, no assayer (Arce), very rare, NGC MS 63 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label), finest and only example in NGC census. Restrepo-unl (M66.32 for type); S-B24; Cal-unl (Type 242); Fr-4a; KM-unl (17.1 for type). 6.70 grams. Very bold and full 4/3 overdate (first example we have seen or heard of) outside of off-center cross, nearly full shield with upright lions in transposed quadrants, small edge-crack in flat area.
