COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 1 escudo, Ferdinand VI, assayer not visible (S to left), mintmark FS to right (style of 1751), NGC MS 63. Restrepo-M92.2; S-B27a; Cal-622; Fr-14; KM-28. 3.35 grams. Choice full cross with distinctive "darts" in tressure-dimples in lieu of fleurs or x's (the only confirmed date for which is 1751), bold but off-center shield with full F•S to right, very small and thick flan, would be finest known in NGC census except that NGC attributed it to Philip V in error.
