Silver "tumbaga" bar M-4, 14.84 lb av, marked with fineness iU oIIII L (1450/2400 fine), assayer(?) I°B13, and two partial tax stamps, ex-"Tumbaga Wreck" (ca. 1528). A very attractive bar, neatly formed (rectangular), about as wide as an Atocha bar but thin, with nice natural gray surfaces, the three visible markings on the top consisting of one tax stamp at each end and the assayer(?)-fineness cluster near the left stamp, also with diagonal assayer's "bite" on top corner above the right stamp, overall a desirable shape and size, great for display. Note: Per page 63 of The "Tumbaga" Saga, by Agustín García-Barneche, second edition (2018), the "I°B13" marking could stand for blacksmith Juan Ibañes, acting as a pro tempore assayer.
